It’s a great day for 156/Silence fans! Today, the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania atmospheric metalcore powerhouse has released their new album From A Distance via Pure Noise Records. From A Distance is the quintet’s sixth full-length and their most recent album release since 2024’s critically acclaimed People Watching.
In celebration of today’s news, the band has dropped the official music video for the album title track From A Distance featuring the inimitable Alex Reade of Make Them Suffer, who also appears in the video.
When asked about the inspiration behind the song, the band shared: “Love. Love is the most important thing in the world no matter what. Through all the bad and evil, there will always be more good. Even if it’s from a distance, the love we share is worth more than anything.”
Having recently wrapped the ‘It’s Not You, It’s Me’ tour with Chiodos just last week, 156/Silence will next kick off their ‘From A Distance’ US headlining tour with Aviana, Heavensgate, and Fromjoy as support. The 20-date headlining run begins next Wednesday, September 9, in Worcester, Massachusetts, and concludes in the band’s hometown of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on Saturday, October 3. During the headliner, the band will also be bringing the heat at this year’s Louder Than Life festival on Sunday, September 20.
Never ones to rest on their laurels, 156/Silence will then cross the pond to hit the road on the EU/UK Flowers Tour with The Devil Wears Prada in October, and kick off the new year touring Australia alongside Thrown in February 2027. Dates are already selling out, so be sure to get your tickets.
