The fourth anniversary of David Bowie’s death commemorated in Perth this Saturday

Next Saturday is set to go for MWP4 with the full bill now confirmed (see below) spearheaded by Melbourne’s THIN WHITE UKES and Australian Idol finalist, CHRIS MURPHY who joins a stellar cast of local musicians united in the common cause of celebrating the life and times of icon. DAVID BOWIE departed this earthly plane four years ago on 10 January 2016 and we are not going to let anyone forget his seminal contribution to music and the arts in general.

Greg Dear from MWP Events comments: “This year’s show is an absolute ripper! We have lots of new faces in the band – players and singers including a great mix of seasoned professionals with a couple of Bowie fanatics who are new to the stage. We are very excited to welcome the Thin White Ukes to our show – they will add a lot of colour and fun to the night; their deep love and respect for Bowie will lift us all. I’m not going to give away the details, but I can say that the grand finale will send everyone home in a great mood. Remember that showtime is 6:25pm, with doors open at 6:00pm. The food at the Court is great, so get in early and grab a meal when you arrive.”

We encourage Bowie garb and the sprinkling of some stardust for MWP4 next Saturday. A sparkling array of musicians will pay homage to the thin white Duke with their own special, and often very personal, Bowie interpretations.

Artist, Rahalie McGuirk will also be back to create yet another Bowie artwork that will be available for auction with part proceeds going to the Cancer Council.
