AUSSIE ROCKERS STRANGE KARMA UNLEASH NEW VINYL ALBUM, ‘COLD BLOODED’

Strange Karma
With many rock artists trying to figure out the best way to service their music to their fans, melodic rockers Strange Karma are returning back-to-basics – by issuing their latest album, ‘Cold Blooded,’ as a vinyl-only release. The ten-track album due today Friday, March 17th, 2017 includes the lead-off single, “Devil from the Moon,” and is available for purchase via PayPal through the band’s site (in the US, it is priced at $24.95 + $7.80 shipping and handling): strangekarma.net/music/

Strange Karma has also issued a video for the song ‘Devil from the Moon’ that you can check out here:

Comprised of members Martin Strange (lead vocals, piano, guitar), Paul Strange (lead guitar, backing vocals), and Jason McDonald (drums), the group’s singer/leader is especially proud of the release.

“We all think this record is a great snapshot of what Strange Karma is all about – it showcases the versatility of the music we like to create and play.” ‘Cold Blooded’ was produced, recorded, mixed, and mastered at Dylanava Studios by Grammy-nominated and multi-platinum engineer and producer David Ivory (Silvertide, Halestorm, The Roots) and co-produced by Joe Lam.
Thus far, the group (which has over 100K followers on Facebook) has received outstanding reviews concerning their style and approach, including Classic Rock Magazine describing them as “Wild, flamboyant and larger than life” and the WVOX Metal Mayhem stating “Strange Karma is one of the most refreshing and highly innovative bands I have ever had the pleasure of spinning on air.” And finally, Classic Rock Revisited hold Strange Karma in extremely high regard – “The band has been compared to Led Zep in many reviews, but I think that is unfair. A lot of bands copy Led Zep, but not Strange Karma…one finds a very unique and hard rockin’ band. Strange Karma is a true hard rock band that mixes old school tricks with a modern twist. In short, they rock!”
And with the new vinyl edition of ‘Cold Blooded,’ rock fans will get another chance to hear what all the accolades are about.

Forgotten Woods

Two essential contributions to the history of Norwegian Black Metal, both recorded in 1994, Forgotten Woods’ “As The Wolves Gather” & “Sjel Av Natten” will become part of the ATMF’s collectors editions on a very special format: Digipak CD, 24-page booklet with unreleased photos and an early-days retrospective by Rune Vedda, Forgotten Woods’ former member. Modern rockers Selfmachine Release Official Video “Giddy-Up!” And New Album “Societal Arcade”

Self Machine

Duther rock act Selfmachine’s sophomore album “Societal Arcade” is finally out via Wormholedeath / The Orchard, Aural Music and Carlo Bellotti Publishing US.
The full-lenght has been recorded at Realsound Studios, Italy and mixed and mastered by Waldemar Sorychta and Dennis Koehne.

To celebrate this event, the band has just released the official video for the song “Giddy-Up!”, third track taken from “Societal Arcade”.

‘Giddy-Up!’ is the first music video taken from Selfmachine’s sophomore album ‘Societal Arcade’. The concept for the video was created by leadsinger Steven Leijen and beautifully brought to life by David Hazeleger from TDD Studios. The song Giddy-Up! touches on the subject of the stress to reach goals and the fears of not succeeding while we completely forget to live and enjoy ourselves. Life is a party, especially if you come party with Selfmachine!

Band statement: “Shooting the video for ‘Giddy-Up!’ was an awesome experience. As always we have made and arranged everything ourselves. This means we have spent a lot of free weekends building the robot, creating its lights, spray painting the metal, teaching it how to play guitar and of course how to dance! We also had the help of our friend David Hazeleger for the filming, editing and after effects. But of course we didn’t use after effects for the robot… ;)”

Over the years we became good friends and we always have a great time when we share a stage together. While writing this song, I felt it was perfect for JJ and I love how it turned out!”

Belgian Black metal band SAILLE have teamed up with Metal Underground to reveal their video for “Prometheus”. The track is taken from their new album Gnosis which is out now via Code666.

The band commented  “We’re finally able to present you the video to ‘Prometheus’! This song can be considered the centerpiece of our new album ‘Gnosis’ and tells the myths of mankind’s creation, retrieving the fire of enlightenment and the Titan’s punishment. We managed to put the same darkness in it that we put in the new songs, so turn up the volume to 11 and open your minds to the knowledge of the gods!”

L.A. rockers Future Villain release new single ‘Back To Hell’

Future Villain

Future Villains is an American rock band from Los Angeles, California. Delivering supercharged, in your face rock n roll with classic rock influences, but with a modern, energetic and thrilling live performance. Future Villains are proudly flying the rock ‘n’ roll flag and refuse to go down without a fight.
The band release their new single ‘Back To Hell’

“In a lot of ways the record was inspired by Hollywood and what seems to draw us all here to this circus of debauchery. The very extreme levels of success ,excess and lavishness and the darkness that hides behind the bright lights. There is a beauty and a savagery that somehow together creates a harmonious playground for all that dare to explore. The idea of being controlled like puppets by this glamorous yet synyster city, and the dangers of becoming lost or consumed by her mystery. We like to think of this collection of songs as our stories or mini movies reflecting our perceptions and experiences we’ve had here, as we to are somehow drawn to this, and also play a role in this very enchanting yet decadent city of Hollywood. “

Vancouver Hard Rock Act CRNKSHFT Offer Their ‘Bad Habits’ For Free Download

Crnkshft

Vancouver, BC’s CRNKSHFT will be unleashing their new self-titled EP produced by Daren Grahn (Metallica, Hedley, Motley Crue, Bon Jovi) on March 24, 2017 to follow their 2015 debut ‘Hard Fucking Rock’.  Since the band’s formation in 2015, CRNKSHFT’s engine has been firing on all cylinders setting their scene ablaze with their explosive, drop tune aggression with melody at its core.  They pride themselves on writing raw, emotional music and when they perform with zero fucks given, what you see is what you get…a leave it all on stage attitude that gets fans fists pumping, head banging and singing along to the band’s anthemic melodies. The band has already been tapped as local support for such touring bands as Prong, Grim Reaper, and The Veer Union.

“We’re not a band that’s going to give you stage props and fake blood and shit, we’re going to give you an emotional rollercoaster, it’s not just straight metal or straight rock, it’s a mixer of everything in between, the songs have tonnes of dynamic, and we push for people to get caught up in it.”

Influenced by bands like Alice In Chains, Five Finger Death Punch, Pantera and Godsmack, CRNKSHFT have carved out a sound in the vein of Shinedown, Breaking Benjamin, Alter Bridge plus Black Stone Cherry and are ready to shift gear to full speed.

Teaming up with PureGrainAudio.com, CRNKSHFT have some ‘Bad Habits’ to brush off onto fans with an exclusive FREE download of their second single at the following link: http://puregrainaudio.com/audio/crnkshft-old-habits-free-song-download

CRNKSHFT is also streaming their first single ‘Systematic’, which has already won ‘Best Metal Song’ by the Academia Awards Academy in Los Angeles, demonstrating the band’s punishing high octane sound is ready to win over the masses. Listen at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E8nMR5NEi90

The wrecking crew comments on the forthcoming EP:

“Our new EP is a beast; we are really excited to showcase our melodic side. The four songs should touch a wide demographic of fans, which is what we want. We aren’t looking to be defined as just a heavy metal band, but as a hard knocking punch to get anyone going. We’re accepted by all those who listen to metal and rock. The whole idea of CRNKSHFT’s music is that we’ll be enjoyed by fans across a variety of genres.”

Vocalist Shane Jolie adds about the lyrics:

“This EP is pseudo political, but also has songs about heartache and emotions, it’s not a story from start to finish, and each song has its own message. It’s an EP to show the world who we are and what we’re all about. My writing is dark, ideas came from depression and anger, sometimes when I’m happy, but mostly not and it’s still very true to this day. I want people to take whatever they can from the listening experience of our new EP. Music always helped me out of my funks and I want CRNKSHFT to do the same. Let it be accessible to all people and all feelings.”

Mark it down on your calendar; there is no stopping the CRNKSHFT freight train. Their self-titled EP will be available on iTunes, Bandcamp, CD Baby, Spotify and all major online retailers as of March 24, 2017.

For those in the Vancouver area, CRNKSHFT will be hosting their local CD release show at Hindenburg on March 25th with support from Bone State Rebellion, 2 Shadows and Porcelain Sky. Full details can be found here.
