The Front Bottoms announce Australian tour dates

New Jersey punk band The Front Bottoms have shared a new video for their song Ginger, which premiered on Pitchfork TV. Ginger is from their 2015 critically acclaimed album Back On Top, which was produced by Joe Chiccarelli (Beck, The Strokes, White Stripes), and received widespread praise for its earnest sentiment and sing-along anthems. today the band have also announced a 2017 tour of Australia, which takes in all the major capital cities, in January.

In late 2014, The Front Bottoms toured Australia in support of the Smith Street Band. They made such an impression on the Australian band that they decided to tour together again, this time with the Smith Street Band as special guests on The Front Bottom’s nationwide US tour in October 2015.

In addition to their Australian tour dates, The Front Bottoms will also be playing at the Panorama Festival in New York, Lollapalooza in Chicago, Bumbershoot in Seattle and ACL in Austin. Rolling Stone called them one of the best 30 Best Things they saw at Coachella this year and NPR: All Songs Considered‘s Bob Boilen has hailed them as “one of the absolute ten best American bands in a live situation”.

Formed in New Jersey, The Front Bottoms have garnered critical acclaim thanks in part to a never ending tour schedule and a prolific run of releases beginning with their acclaimed 2011 self-titled debut. Brian Sella (Vocals/Guitar) and Mat Uychich (Drums) have put together a vibrant array of new material with band mates Tom Warren (Bass) and Ciaran O’Donnell (Guitar, Horns, Keyboards).

The Front Bottoms made their network TV debut earlier this year, performing their track West Virginia on Late Night with Seth Meyers. The track was hand-picked for the performance by their fans via a 24-hour Twitter poll.
