MUNDI MUNDI INTERVIEW: SUZE DeMARCHI Talks Mundi Mundi Bash 2026 & New BABY ANIMALS Album

The Baby Animals are set to make a welcome return to the legendary Mundi Mundi Bash this August, bringing their timeless catalogue of Australian rock classics back to the iconic Mundi Mundi Plains.

Ahead of the festival, The Rockpit caught up with Baby Animals frontwoman Suze DeMarchi to discuss the unique atmosphere that has made the Mundi Mundi Bash one of Australia’s most talked-about music events. Suze reflects on what makes the festival so special, the connection between artists and fans in the heart of the outback, and why the band is looking forward to returning once again.

We also talk about the future of Baby Animals, with the band currently hard at work on a brand-new studio album expected in 2027. Suze shares insights into the writing process, the excitement surrounding the new material, and what fans can expect from the next chapter of one of Australia’s most enduring rock bands.

From the red dirt of the outback to new music on the horizon, it’s a great chat with one of Australian rock’s most iconic voices.

With thanks to Georgia from Cardinal Spin for arranging and to Suze for her time.
