On episode 5 of 50 Shades Of Slaids we catch up with Ollie Hillborg, frontman for Glorious Bankrobbers.
Glorious Bankrobbers formed in 1983 in Stockholm Sweden. For a band with a forty-three year career (including a couple of hiatus’) they have remained underground icons in the hard rock world. Their debut album was produced by one Kee Marcello of Easy Action & Europe fame. The bands sound has influenced so many much like Hanoi Rocks shaped the style of glam metal in LA.
On February 27 Glorious Bankrobbers released their latest album ‘Intruder’ via Wild Kingdom Records and what a record it is. With one foot firmly planted in the early history of the band and one in today they have created one of the albums you must hear this year.
In this chat Slaids went back to the beginning of the bands career and walked through to today as he and Ollie talked all things ‘Intruder’.
Don’t take our word for it but check out ‘Intruder’ if you have ever loved gritty blues based hard rock that is drenched in swagger.
