Aussie Supergroup ‘MONSTR’ Expands National Tour With Four More Queensland Dates Following Sell-Out Run

Following consecutive sold-out shows across the country, Australia’s premier new rock supergroup, MONSTR, has officially expanded their 2026 national tour. Responding to overwhelming fan demand, the band has announced four new dates across Queensland this August, bringing their acclaimed live experience, The Best of MTV Unplugged, straight to regional fans. Featuring an all-star lineup of homegrown rock royalty—Jason Singh (Taxiride), Stu Rudd (The Superjesus), Pete Drummond (Dragon), and Jimi Hocking (The Screaming Jets)—the tour pays powerful tribute to one of music history’s most iconic formats.

Stripping away the heavy production, the four-piece reimagines the legendary acoustic catalogues of Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Alanis Morissette, Eagles, Paul McCartney, Rod Stewart, and more. Critics have praised the group’s electric chemistry and vocal prowess, noting that the show is “a musical trip down memory lane… refined, human, and kick-ass” (The Rockpit).

Frontman Jason Singh says the band has been blown away by the response to the tour so far, making the decision to add regional Queensland dates a no-brainer. “We wanted to bring these shows to the people who live and breathe live music. There’s something incredibly special about stripping these massive anthems back to their absolute raw core,” says Singh. “When you take away the giant amps and distortion, you get a direct window into the heart and soul of the song. The crowds down south have been singing every single word back at us, and we can’t wait to bring that exact same energy to regional Queensland.”

New Queensland Tour Dates:
Thursday, 6 August – The Old Bundy Tavern, Bundaberg
Friday, 7 August – Leichhardt Hotel, Rockhampton
Saturday, 8 August – The Metropolitan, Mackay
Sunday, 9 August – The Warehouse, Townsville

Tickets for all newly added Queensland dates are on sale from 10am Friday 29 May via Oztix:
