I OH YOU, MG Live and Frontier Touring are excited to announce stellar local talents joining US alt-indie singer-songwriter, Soccer Mommy as special guests on her upcoming Australian tour. Special guest on all Australian shows is Asha Jefferies. Opening proceedings in Perth will be smol fish, Geography in Castlemaine and Torquay and Ruby Gill in Sydney.
Last in the country in 2023, performing stand out shows across the East Coast, Soccer Mommy – aka Sophie Allison – will return this June with recently released fourth album Evergreen. Her most raw and vulnerable record to date, with Pitchfork describing it as “pairing raw reflections on grief with the most laid-back, pastoral music of her career” the album further cements Soccer Mommy as one of indie rock’s most beloved artists of the last decade.
Now making her return to Australia in 2025, Soccer Mommy will bring her latest record Evergreen to life on stages across the country, as well as fan favourites ‘circle the drain’, ‘Your Dog’ and ‘yellow is the colour of her eyes’.
Celebrating the release of her debut album Ego Ride – Australian singer-songwriter and frog enthusiast Asha Jefferies joins Soccer Mommy on all Australian dates. An album that speaks to an audience of deeply-feeling listeners searching for the courage to take a step of faith, without knowing where it will lead, Ego Ride presents 13 tracks that revisit two years of words and actions on loop – choices to speak or to stay silent, moments of stepping into or retreating from change. On first listen, its titular track seems to lay out the beats of her escape from a failed relationship. In fact, Jefferies is breaking free from herself.
Following the album’s release, Jefferies embarked on an extraordinary touring journey, performing across the UK and Europe, with highlights including showcases at The Great Escape, Reeperbahn, playing alongside Courtney Barnett, Lord Huron, Hana Vu and Margaret Glaspy, as well as her own headline shows. Earlier in the year, she ventured to the USA, playing SXSW Austin and one-off shows in Los Angeles and New York.
Jefferies recently covered Spacey Janes ‘Booster Seat’ in a spectacular performance for triple j Like A Version plus her own track ‘Cruise Control’.
Joining Soccer Mommy in Perth are indie-rock locals smol fish. The four-piece band comprised of best friends have paved their own way with earnest lyricism and playful instrumentation, exploring the lovely and lonesome aspects of being a 20-something navigating the world today.
Though they humbly describe themselves as “not big,” smol fish are renowned for their electrifying live performances, fostering a dedicated local following, with their unique style and seamless on-stage chemistry solidifying their presence in the local music scene. Be sure to superglue your socks to your feet, because smol fish are ready to blow them off!

Joining Soccer Mommy in Castlemaine and Torquay is Melbourne based Geography. Submerged in a bedroom pop haze ‘Geography’ exists as a thread between the two worlds of songwriter/producer Georgia Smith’s small hometown Guyra and where they now reside in Melbourne.
The musical project of Georgia Smith, Geography’s art manifests as a thread between two disparate worlds – an affectionate, rural upbringing in regional NSW’s Guyra and the landscapes that guide her, again the community and self-discovery Melbourne’s urban scene provides outsiders. Beneath the tactile soundscapes of dusty guitars, silky vocals and floating melodies lies a quiet intensity, as Geography navigates life’s ebbs and flows with grace and vulnerability. Complex truths are unearthed and then settled, finding closure throughout new EP Cyclone tracks ‘Takes So Much To Love’, ‘The Reeds’ and focus single ‘Collar’.
Joining Soccer Mommy as she takes to the stage at this year’s instalment of Vivid Sydney is Joburg-born, Narrm-based musician Ruby Gill.
If anyone can silence a room, it’s Ruby, whose arresting lyricism, honesty and deadpan wit have already garnered millions of streams, awards and radio play from triple j, to BBC and KCRW. Ruby’s “melancholic lyrical wizardry” has earned her the reputation of unmissable, with her Australian Music Prize-nominated debut record ‘I’m gonna die with this frown on my face” landing at #5 on the AIR Independent Album charts and met with Sunday Times’ coveted “Breaking Act” accolade and worldwide acclaim in September 2022.
Don’t miss these headline shows as the incredible indie-rock talent heads our way next month, with special guests Asha Jefferies, smol fish, Geography and Ruby Gill.
