Their dynamic new single “Wonderful Wonderful” arrives Tuesday, 5 August, 2025 – a tempestuous exploration of desire and devotion that emerged from a storm-soaked night of creative intensity.
Conceived on a honky-tonk piano during wild weather, songwriter Jenna Hardie crafted this emotionally charged piece that pulses with the rhythm of crashing waves and racing hearts.
“This is a song about drowning in love and the depths of your desire,” explains Hardie. “Wild weather and the beat of a strong heart. Complex feelings, and the joy and grandeur that a strong love brings.”
Recorded with renowned sound engineer Dave Parkin at Blackbird Sound Studio, ‘Wonderful Wonderful’ brings with it a brand of Unicorn you haven’t seen before. Unicorn supported Jebediah’s ‘Gum Up The Bearings’ tour, a sold out show at The Rechabite as part of WAMFest in November 2023, and finished the year on a high, supporting 90’s electropunk pop band Def FX at Badlands Bar. 2024 saw Unicorn welcome new bass player, Sara McPherson (New Talk, Ursula) with the band playing a slew of regional gigs and festival shows. Unicorn released Spirals earlier in the year and will be releasing more new music in 2026.

Unicorn will celebrate the release of Wonderful Wonderful with shows in North Perth, Bunbury and Albany in the coming weeks.
