RISE AGAINST Announce Exclusive Melbourne & Sydney Headline Theatre Shows

Rise Against

Frontier Touring are excited to announce the long-awaited return of Chicago, Illinois multi-Gold and Platinum four-piece Rise Against – performing two exclusive, not to be missed live shows in Melbourne and Sydney in February 2024… the punk band’s ONLY headline dates down under this summer!

Fans don’t want to miss these special shows, the band bringing their huge live show to two intimate and iconic venues. These dates will be Rise Against’s first live shows on our shores since 2018 – the ‘I Don’t Want To Be Here Anymore’, ‘Help Is on the Way’, ‘Make It Stop (Septembers Children)’, and ‘Tragedy + Time’ rockers returning following 2021’s critically-acclaimed ninth album, Nowhere Generation, and its 2022 follow-up, Nowhere Generation II EP.

Rise Against will perform at Forum Melbourne on Sunday 4 February, and Sydney’s Enmore Theatre on Monday 5 February. Tickets on sale NOW via frontiertouring.com/riseagainst.

Comprised of Tim McIlrath (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Joe Principe (bass guitar, backing vocals), Zach Blair (lead guitar, backing vocals), and Brandon Barnes (drums, percussion), ever since 2001 debut album The Unraveling Rise Against have been cited as one of the rock world’s best live acts. Releases such as 2011’s Endgame, 2014’s The Black Market, 2017’s Wolves, and 2021’s Nowhere Generation have topped Album Charts both in the US and beyond, including Australia. While on our shores next summer, Rise Against will also support blink-182 on the band’s arena tour.

Rise Against’s propulsive, five-song Nowhere Generation II serves to continue a critical dialogue between the band, their fans, and the world at large. The five-song collection – written and recorded alongside Nowhere Generation and featuring production by Bill Stevenson (The Descendents, Black Flag) – looks beyond its full-length counterpart’s scrutiny of the chronic social, economic, and political instability and inequality that pervades the modern age. II is as biting as it is hopeful and is a further testament to the resonance of a band that continues to defy the status quo of modern rock.

Don’t miss these intimate shows, two special theatre venues guaranteed to sell quickly! Rise Against are not to be missed: tickets will not last long – get in quick!
