NORTHWIND set to release new album ‘IMPERFECT HARMONY’ on May 14

Norwegian progressive hard rock band NORTHWIND will release their long due new album ‘Imperfect Harmony’ at the 14th of May 2022. Their first album, ‘Remarkable Rock’ from 2018, received some good reviews world wide. The new album consists of eight new songs and a hard rock version of a Scandinavian medieval ballad, and marks the band’s direction towards a purifying of their style, but still keeping the diversity in the songs that has become the band’s trademark.

NORTHWIND, in its present form, came to life in 2012, but its roots goes way back to the eighties. With musical backgrounds from as different genres as metal and jazz, the band members always strive to make the blend of influences result in well-balanced compositions. The band’s style lies somewhere between classic and progressive hard rock, sometimes on one side, sometimes on the other, with audible references to the seventies. Ever since their first album, ‘Remarkable Rock’, was released in 2018, a second album, ‘Imperfect Harmony’ has been in the making, but was postponed many times due to the Covid situation. ‘Imperfect Harmony’ will now at last be released at the 14th of May 2022, followed by concerts and music videos.
