Perth black metal act Dying Kings announce launch show for new EP release

Dying Kings

Perth black metal legends Dying Kings are set to release their brand new EP “Salted Earth, Ashen Air” on September 4th and will celebrate the release with a launch show at Amplifier Bar on Saturday September 12th.

Joining Dying Kings at the launch show will be death metal titans Iniquitous Monolith, veteran thrashers Enforce and heavy hitters Kalvath.

Commenting on the new EP, Dying Kings states: “The new material is substantially matured in both and sound and style with Alistair’s riffing being key. The addition of Paul’s guitar has allowed us to properly explore the blackmetal disharmony and with Jon the bass is no longer a shadow of the rhythm guitar but instead now expresses the emotive lows that dark music craves. Our drummer Davros has been able to flourish in this landscape, accelerating the intensity of the aggressive parts and creating the mocking expanses where they belong. Alora’s lyrical content is a poetic commentary on the destruction of the natural environment and a general disappointment in the state of the human race and it’s society. Listeners will be sure to search both inward and outward for answers.”

Earlier in the year, before Covid-19 hit, Dying Kings set audiences alight with their blazing performance at the inuaugural Wacken Metal Battle Australia at Badlands Bar in front of a packed crowd. The show was an early insight into what to expect at their EP launch show on September 12th.
