Release Date: August 23rd 2019 - Nuclear Blast

Michael Schenker Fest - Revelations

There are certain amongst us who are missing out – maybe it’s you or your mate? I’m talking about those of us out there who believe that nothing good happened in Rock since the 80’s – those of us who stopped listening to new bands and then even stopped listening to new material by old bands.  Well let me tell you there’s plenty out there in 2019 for either fans of vintage rock and more importantly plenty of old rockers out there making some great new noise. With Mr Schenker over recent years since he got back on stage things have been going great and there have been some fine albums even if of course that scorpions/UFO shadow still looms large!

Michael Schenker Fest, has four singers with whom Schenker has worked since 1979 – Gary Barden, Graham Bonnet, Robin McAuley and Doogie White and they all perform beautifully here with each singer featured on individual tracks, while two tracks ‘Warrior’ and ‘The Last Supper’ sees all four traded lead vocals.

Beautifully produced by Michael Voss, there’s plenty to love here from anthemic opener ‘Rock Steady’ through the UFO-like ‘Under A Blood Red Sky’, the bluesy Halen-esque ‘Crazy Daze’ and the wonderful 80’s styled Hard Rock of ‘Lead You Astray’ all the way to the powerful instrumental ‘Ascension’ which closes. The album also includes a cameo by Metallica’s Kirk Hammett, jamming with Michael on the track ‘Heart And Soul’.
