ALBUM REVIEW: Bullet – Live

Bullet - Live

So many great live albums have come out so far this year that deserve your attention, but with such a deluge there’s very little time to get the review out. One of may favourites so far this year is this one the craftily titled – ‘Bullet Live.’ Now if you’re a fan of the band but have never seen them live like me then sadly this is the ultimate document of what you are missing out on – 18 searing tracks of hard-edged, ‘take no prisoners’ rock and roll.

In these grooves you’ll find a lot to love even if you are a Bullet casual – this is music in the spirit of old school Metal luminaries like Judas Priest and Accept and it’s all done rather well. The best thing about Bullet though is the fact that they are so ‘real’ in the way that Bon Scott’s AC/DC was real before it hit the enormodomes after ‘Back in Black went wild. There’s a real love of the music here too and not a whiff of a backing track or a studio tweak – this is as raw as it comes, and with six albums to draw from it’s also the cream of the cream.

If you’re still on the fence, don’t dodge the bullet, take this one between the eyes and buy it now.
