The Rockpit officially presents the premiere of the new lyric video for the track “Escapism” from Atlanta post-hardcore band Satyr. The track comes off the band’s new EP “Neutrino!” which was released earlier this year and has been described as a finely honed set of songs featuring surprising hooks from a band that mean business.
On the song “Escapism” the band comments: “We try to combine emotion, technicality, tenacity into one musical statement. Escapism is a song that deals with the difficulties of leaving a tough situation in order to end up in a better one. We enjoy these songs and hope you do as well. Learn the words and maybe listen to the other songs on the EP as well“.
“Neutrino!” is the debut release from the Georgia quartet who have previously faced challenges with lineups which ultimately have resulted in this impressively heavy 6 track release stemming from lyrics that touch on personal relationships and dealing with the struggles that come from that.
