Particles unleash their epic debut video and announce single launch shows

Following the recent release of Sydney band PARTICLES debut single ‘Tennis’, the band have  unleashed their epic  video for the track! With a hint of Mad Max and hues of Tarantino, this mini movie tackles the volatility of human relationships head-on and pulls no punches! Produced and Directed by Dan D’Arcy and shot by Luke Walker Productions, fans are in for a treat with this superb visual !

“This film is very much a nod of respect to my favourite Australian Director: George Miller.

Its set in the dystopian outback future that he created with the mad max movies. My character is ‘The feral kid’ who was a child character in Mad Max 2, its supposed to be him later in life. Skarlett’s character is a wild rogue of the wasteland who loves nothing more then the pure chaos of the chase. It touches on a few different concepts: human relations, the battle of the sexes, primal/carnal/hunting instincts, machines as an expression of humanity and the violent car chase of life death and love. “

There’s no denying Sydney band PARTICLES certainly know how to craft a hooky as hell rock song and the single carves its own path with some dizzying guitar work and audacious drumming assaults combined with the unmistakable vocal of Dan D’Arcy to produce a song that demonstrates all the grace and cohesion of a no frills rock song .

‘Tennis’ was recorded and produced by Tony Buchen (Montaigne, The Preatures) and rooted in modern experimental modern rock, hard rock and garage rock with subtle electronic flavours flowing throughout. With an epic debut film clip to follow very shortly created by PARTICLES.

To co-incide with the release of the video, PARTICLES are proud to announce Sydney and Melbourne single launch shows with further show dates still to be announced!

Presented by Young Henry’s on SATURDAY APRIL 22, PARTICLES will take to the stage with their unmistakable sound and a bunch of new songs at one of Sydney’s greatest coolest venues (THE LADY HAMPSHIRE) to celebrate the release of their debut single and video ‘Tennis’.

Supporting the band will be none other than NARLA and FOREST HALL with Charlie Mann on the decks. With FREE ENTRY and good vibes, this will be a night not to be missed!

PARTICLES will then make their live debut in Melbourne supporting Arcane Saints on SATURDAY MAY 27 at Whole Lotta Love (Lygon Street)

Particles are a two-piece rock outfit, formed in Sydney, Australia in 2016. Comprising of Dan D’Arcy (Little Bastard, Nightowl) and Skarlett Saramore (Fait Accompli, She Rex and countless others). Particles first incarnation began with Dan playing alongside old friends Matt Mason and Lim Hoskins (DMAS guitarist and drummer) who formed a bluegrass/busking band called Nightowl that toured extensively, mainly around Europe.

Upon return at a Nightowl gig, they met Johnny Took (DMAS) and soon after that, their collective interest in Bluegrass, led to the formation of Little Bastard. LB went on to receive rave reviews, national airplay, release an album, complete national tours and appearances at festivals such as: Peats Ridge, Falls Festival, Gumball, Cherry Rock, Party in The Paddock and The Hills are alive. After Little Bastard separated due to members concentrating on their own projects, Dan continued to write and produce music as a solo artist for a year or so and then reformed Particles with Skarlett in 2016.

2017 promises to be a MASSIVE year for Particles, with an EP on the way, writing, live shows across Australia and overseas.
