Mount Defiance share a cold one in video for “Teamwork”

There’s nothing more Australian than cracking a cold one down the pub on a hot summer day. In their new video for “Teamwork”, Mount Defiance are spreading the friendship (and the beer) far and wide, because, what’s a beer without mates?

Mount Defiance pride themselves on two things; their ability to spin musical yarns that might make you both and happy and sad, and they also have heaps of fun.

Hailing from Melbourne, four-piece take elements of indie rock, slacker rock, and punk rock to create a visceral soundscape veering between intimate confessionals and rambling rock tunes.

New single “Teamwork” – the second track off upcoming EP ‘Yankee Flat’ (due Aug 4) – brilliantly highlights the band’s ability to use lyrical metaphor to tell a story.

‘Yankee Flat’ EP was recorded at Homestead Studios in Mount Helen, which is truly God’s country, and is full of all the intimate musical yarns, happy songs, sad songs, friendship, and rock ’n’ roll you’re looking for.

Coupling a sense of humour with intricate wordplay, “Teamwork” is a song about feeling like the best version of yourself when you are with other people.

It’s also a song about making coffee.

“Teamwork” is out now.
‘Yankee Flat’ EP will be available to purchase, stream, and download August 4th.
