ARIA charting Aussie rock legends Gyroscope are hitting the road next month, celebrating their latest single “My Broken Spine”. Heading up venues across the country, the beloved band will be sharing the stage with special guests in each city.
Famed for their ferocious shows, fans will experience new tracks and old favourites in live form at Melbourne’s Night Cat, Crowbar in Sydney and Brisbane, Perth’s Rosemount Hotel and performing at Caltowie Chilled Out ‘n’ Fired Up Festival in South Australia.
Frontman Dan Sanders said “Looking forward to hitting the road again and seeing the various legends we’ve got joining us for the shows. Purple Disturbance are creating a racket around the country, so it’s awesome to have them on board for the East Coast shows, plus Spacerhead doing both WA shows. Can’t wait!”
Coffs Harbour’s very own Alt rockers Purple Disturbance will be the main support in Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney, while Perth’s post-punk trio Spacerhead will be shredding it up at both the Margaret River and Perth shows.
Openers who will be jumping on stage include Raging Hormones in Melbourne, Happy Valley in Brisbane, Binsad in Sydney and Ten Cent Tiger in Perth.
Forming out of their hometown scene of Perth in 1997, Gyroscope have cemented themselves as a cornerstone of Australian rock, with four acclaimed albums under their belt. Much-loved for their charting anthems like “Baby, I’m Getting Better”, ”Snakeskin,” and debuting at #1 with albums like Breed Obsession, the four-piece have made their mark across the ARIA charts, earning them nominations and Gold certifications. Gyroscope have graced famous festival stages including Big Day Out and Groovin the Moo, sharing the bill with world-renowned acts like Oasis, Blink 182, Jimmy Eat World, Foo Fighters and more.
