“This is a grungy and dark anthem which kind of poured out of me when I was 15/16. (hence why my voice will sound so different on the recording). It has a striking riff/eerie catchy as hell melody, interesting chord change, a wailing guitar solo and drum solo. I remember writing it on a wee cushion underneath my posters of Jimi Hendrix/Led Zeppelin/The Beatles/Nirvana as a teenager. It was partly written about some people I knew at school which I thought took things too seriously but probably invertedly about myself also. I also chucked in the line “Why don’t you take a sip on your Mountain Due” ‘cause I remember Mountain Dew was a new drink at the time and always saw it in the Coop on school lunch break thinking what the hell is that haha and thought it’d sound cool in a song. I didn’t even know that line also means alcohol in cowboy language which works out cool. Catchy as hell and is very rocky hope you enjoy!” – Sean Findlay
