“‘The Pictures You Paint’ weaves together four distinct sounds, each with it’s own unique shade. From the dark, brooding thunder of the opening track, ‘Come Alive’, to the EP’s closer, ‘Open Up Your Dreams’- the final burst of sunset.”

Following the success of their single, ‘Open Up Your Dreams’, released May 16, Australian alt-rock band, Vermantics, are set to drop their highly anticipated four-track EP, ‘The Pictures You Paint’. Set for release 4 July 2025, the EP marks a major milestone for the band as they continue to push creative boundaries ahead. ‘The Pictures You Paint’ embodies pleasure, pain, hope and frustration. Each track holds a mirror up to the different relationships in our life. The ones that hurt us, the ones that excite us, the ones that dare us to dream. It’s not just the lyrics that tell this story – the music equally paints this picture.

The EP was produced by Vermantics alongside renowned producer, Phil Threlfall, who also mixed the tracks, with mastering done by Grammy-nominated and ARIA Award-winning engineer, Andrei Eremin. After making waves across Australia with multiple shows and high-profile support slots for Aussie rock icons The Superjesus and British India, as well as U.S. rock heavyweights Highly Suspect.

In May 2025, the band embarked on their first international tour, bringing their electrifying live show to fans across the UK. The tour was a resounding success, playing packed venues, unforgettable performances, and an overwhelmingly positive response from new audiences. With momentum building both at home and abroad, the band shows no signs of slowing down. They’ll be supporting Perth rockers Late 90s in Adelaide on July 5 and Melbourne on July 6 – hot on the heels of their EP release – before heading back to the UK later this year.

“We have this big energy when we play live so we really leaned into that on these tracks,” says drummer Julian Perrotta.

“Every once in a while, you hear something so fresh and exhilarating that it makes you feel alive again – Vermantics do just that in everyway.”The Rockpit

“Brash, bold rock & roll that swaggers with a snarling attitude, crunchy, volatile guitars are joined by a cascading, driving rhythm section that hooks into your hips and doesn’t let go till your swaying uncontrollably.”Scenestr
