The Beasts are gearing up for a massive celebration of their legendary 1990 album Black Milk, one more time with an exclusive Sydney show.
After huge demand following a powerful set at Melbourne’s Forum Theatre to celebrate 35 years of their classic Black Milk album, The Beasts are answering the call for more, bringing the celebration to Sydney’s Factory Theatre on Friday, December 12 for a one-night-only show.
This special one-off show in Sydney will see The Beasts dive back into the raw energy, rampant eclecticism and cult-classics of their 1990 album Black Milk, (Cool Fire, Words from a Woman To Her Man, Let’s get Funky, Execution Day and more) alongside other early-era favourites that shaped their signature swamp rock sound.
Formed in Sydney in 1983, The Beasts of Bourbon — now The Beasts (Kim Salmon, Tex Perkins, Charlie Owen, Boris Sujdovic, and Evan Richards) — have long been a raw, loud, and vital part of Australian rock. This show also marks a chance to pay respects to the fallen members whose legacy continues to echo through every note (the latest being James Baker who passed away earlier this year).
SPECIAL GUESTS & SUPPORTS ANNOUNCED
Joining The Beasts on the night will be special guest vocalists – the one and only Rob Younger (New Christs, Radio Birdman), the great Richie Weed (Tumbleweed), and guest vocalist from the original Black Milk album, the wonderful Hellen Rose.
On the bill will be old friends and local legends The Johnnys, Richie Weed & Natalie De Silver will also play a set, and starting the evening will be some young fellas having a crack, Unsound!.
Don’t miss The Beasts live on Friday, December 12, at the Factory Theatre as they celebrate 35 years of Black Milk.
