Redwood City is a teenage Welsh alternative indie rock band, hailing from Caerphilly, South Wales, that has began to create waves with their dynamic sound and youthful energy. Combining elements of indie rock, psychedelia, and alternative sounds, the band has earned a reputation for their fresh, introspective and yet nostalgic music along with their raw performances.
The band released two studio singles ‘Uptight’ and ‘Ashtray’ in 2024, which captured the pure essence of their unique sound; saturated with bright guitars, catchy hooks, and lyrics that explore the life of welsh teens. The single gained attention across Wales and the UK, helping the band begin to build a passionate fanbase. They are now set to exceed their previous successes with their new release, ‘Kept In Mind’, their 3rd single to-date!
Despite their age, Redwood City has already established themselves as one of Wales’ most promising emerging indie acts, and with upcoming shows and new material, they’re set to make an even bigger impact on the UK music scene.

With a soulful blend of introspection and groove, ‘Kept In Mind’ is a richly layered track that merges emotional depth with sonic euphoria and atmosphere. The lyrics explore the admission of longing for a relationship with a certain individual yet knowing it will never be possible. For their latest track, Redwood City ventures into shoegaze inspired instrumentals and use of experimental effects and instruments, Which is something they’ve said they have been looking forward to doing for a while. The band was particularly happy with how the writing process lead to the final result of the track. Beginning with Lead singer ‘Evan Burridge’ writing the lyrics and structure, the band then began to collaboratively construct the melodies, atmosphere and instrumentals together. Creating something that they are truly proud of.
