MONSTR, the all-new Australian supergroup featuring Taxiride’s Jason Singh, The Superjesus’ Stu Rudd, Dragon’s Pete Drummond, and The Screaming Jets’ Jimi Hocking, is set to ignite stages with a powerful homage to the legendary MTV Unplugged series — and now, with the release of their debut single Tears in Heaven dropping 18 July, the MONSTR era officially begins.
A reimagining of Eric Clapton’s iconic ballad, MONSTR’s debut single captures the raw, emotional essence of the original while delivering a hauntingly beautiful performance that showcases the band’s collective depth and musicality. This release sets the tone for their upcoming live shows — powerful, stripped-back performances infused with authenticity and soul.
MONSTR’s upcoming one-of-a-kind live experience shows will pay tribute to the unforgettable MTV Unplugged era, breathing new life into acoustic classics by Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Eagles, Alanis Morissette, Paul McCartney, Rod Stewart, and many more. MONSTR will inject their own special energy into these timeless tracks, offering fans a bold and deeply personal musical journey.
