Cassidy Paris recently unveiled her new single, ‘Stronger’ via Frontiers Music. It was a song that resonated with a lot of people, a song of resilience that must have helped her through recent events: “This is a song about my experiences in life dealing with situations that can be difficult to get through. I thought it would be only fitting to record this as it’s become an anthem to remind me that in life there will always be people who try and bring you down. I love performing this song on stage with my dad and Wicked Smile, even though some people thought I didn’t belong here. A big thanks to all the people who got behind me on this and helped me put my own stamp on this song – my dad, Paul Laine, Pete Lesperance, Pete Newdeck, Harry Hess and Frontiers Music”.
Later this year Cassidy will release her new album and as someone who has already had a sneaky listen at some of the unmixed tracks I can honestly say that this one should take her to the next level. Already with tours of Japan, Europe and the UK under here belt and next year’s Monsters of Rock Cruise penciled in, things are gonna get ever bigger for Cassidy. Mark caught up to talk ‘Stronger’ and recap on the year so far…
