INTERVIEW: The Casanovas’ Damo Campbell talks ‘Backseat Rhythms’

Melbourne rock trio The Casanovas have once again hit the ground running with a superb album, in the form of ‘Backseat Rhythms’, a collections of rock n’ roll beauties with influences ranging from KISS to Sabbath, AC/DC to ZZ Top but keeping things all very much in the present with a real Casanovas feel.

In Damo Campbell’s own words, “It’s a bit of fun isn’t it!” It sure is and one that has been on repeat in The Rockpit office since just before it’s release and will be sitting very highly on our Australian releases at the end of the year.

We caught up with Damo to find out the writing process, the wonders of vinyl, Damo’s dinner guests and what the rest of 2024 holds in store for The Casanovas.
