TOUR NEWS: Ed Kuepper with Jim White add more shows to tour

Ed Kuepper

Roll up, roll up! Less than a week to go until the great Ed Kuepper with Jim White show rolls into your town. Many, many shows are already sold out and many more are soon to follow so it seems appropriate that we add a couple more:

July 9th: Wollongong, The Sound Lounge special guest Darren Hanlon
July 10th: Milton Theatre special guest Darren Hanlon
Tickets for both shows on-sale now via edkuepper.com

In addition, the Sydney Opera House on the shores of Sydney Harbour have found a few more tickets down the back of the virtual couch for both the matinee and evening shows. Don’t let these ones slip by you.

“I’d struggle to name two more idiosyncratic and iconic players in Australia’s music history. They’re both right up there. Ed has one of the great back catalogues, and Jim is one of those drummers that reinvents whatever he’s playing. The fact it may never happen again makes it all the more exciting.” – Woody McDonald Rising Festival music programmer.

“From my point of view, I really started playing drums with Ed when I was a teenager,” says Jim White, “playing along when I was learning drums, listening to Prehistoric Sounds and the first album; these were really big things for me. Then I lucked into seeing Laughing Clowns on maybe their first show in Melbourne and then saw them continuously whenever they came to Melbourne. I always loved Jeffrey Wegener’s playing and Ivor Hay’s playing and Ed’s playing … everything about those two bands I found pretty inspirational.” – Jim White

Special guests include Mess-Esque (Melb), Grace Cummings (Macedon), Tessa Devine (Cairns), The Windy Hills (Gold Coast), Greg Charles (Sunshine Coast and Brisbane), BreNdon Humphries (Fremantle) and Darren Hanlon (Wollongong and Milton)

“The way things are developing at the moment I think each show is going to be a bit different from the last. We haven’t done much rehearsal as yet but what we have done clicked immediately and I think we’re going to be pushing the boundaries of the songs a fair bit. But as far as what audiences should expect? Hard to say but drama, warmth, charm and sex appeal and that’s just the road crew!”  – Ed Kuepper

Good news too that the vinyl has arrived and will be ready for shipping from next week and available for ordering instore too. Meantime the online store is stacked with vinyl, CD, cassettes, t-shirts, stickers and more while the shows themselves will feature tour only t-shirts and that winter staple, the hooded sweater. https://artistfirst.com.au/collections/ed-kuepper
