BLUES AT BRIDGETOWN 2021 THIRD ARTIST ANNOUNCEMENT

You can just about hear the music in the air as the South-West readies itself to spring into action for the 29th edition of Blues at Bridgetown, three days’ worth of rhythm, melody and memories from Friday-Sunday, November 12-14. We’re both proud and pleased to bring you the third and final artist announcement of WA music goodness.

Dave Hole remains, as ever, a blues great not only in his home state of Western Australia, but all around the world. Dave’s festival appearances are becoming a rare gift to blues fans these days, so don’t miss this opportunity to see him carve it up live.

The Steve Hensby Band are eminently danceable! Their folk sounds are amped up by the addition of a five-piece horn section, drawing on soul and funk influences. Steve Hensby, guitarist and vocalist, is a Berklee graduate and WAMI nominated musician.

Growing up in Bridgetown, Emily Barker fell in love with American music – from the soul of Aretha Franklin to the country of Gillian Welch and Emmylou Harris. After leaving Australia, Emily’s travels led her to settling in the UK, where she has released a succession of critically acclaimed albums. Emily is perhaps best known as the writer and performer of the award-winning theme to the BBC crime drama, Wallander, starring Kenneth Branagh.

We’re also pleased to announce that Riverbugs, Blackwood Rising, Leaky Johnson and the Depends,Darryl and the Devil, Whiskey Nips, Mikey Long Trio, Ian Cocker, Mary Myfanwy

and MDV Band will be bringing their best to this year’s festival, along with the previously-announced…
