Silent Knight to release new album in 2021 via Octane Records

Silent Knight

One of Australia’s leading Power Metal bands, Silent Knight, have signed to the nations newest metal label, Octane Records!

Label owner Bailey Graham comments on the signing “I’m absolutely thrilled that Octane Records will be working with Western Australia’s premiere power metal legends Silent Knight for their next release! As a long-time fan of the band and having worked with them as their booking agent for many months now, I can not think of a better band to work with in pushing their music to the next level!”

Silent Knight guitarist Stu McGill adds “Silent Knight are pumped to be releasing our new album through Octane Records!  We strongly believe in this partnership and are looking forward to growing together as we move towards next year and unleash our most exciting and aggressive album yet!”

Formed in Perth in late 2009, Silent Knight fused the European melodic elements of bands like Iron Maiden, Helloween and Gamma Ray with the aggression and speed of their American counterparts such as Megadeth and Iced Earth to produce a sound that is as hard hitting as it is hummable.

Making an impact from the get go with their 2013 debut, Masterplan, the band were praised internationally by the music press and landed high profile supports, opening for Paul Dianno & Blaze Bayley – ex Iron Maiden vocalists and Finnish band Korpiklanni.

They followed up with 2014’s Power Metal Supreme EP which featured a cover of Helloween’s classic, Keeper Of The Seven Keys as voted by the fans on an online poll. The EP was strictly limited to 100 hand numbered copies and sold out prior to the official release date!

2015 saw the band tour outside Australia for the first time. The appeared at the Hammersonic Festival in Jakarta, Indonesia in front of thousands of metal fans and a week later were with David Ellefson of Megadeth back in Perth. In October that year they released their second full length album Conquer & Command which again was lauded by critics and saw the band tour extensively throughout Australia, return to Indonesia for another open-air festival and then open for Helloween and Zakk Wylde’s Black Label Society on their WA tour dates.

Early 2017 saw the release of The Angel Reborn EP which featured live tracks and fan favourites and once again, the limited number were sold out prior to release date.
At the request of their fans, the band re-recorded their debut album with their current line up and spiced up production. The Masterplan as it was titled, was then supported with tours both in Australia, with DragonForce and their own headline shows plus several dates in Germany including a performance at the 20th anniversary Headbangers Open Air Festival!

After a much needed break in 2018, Silent Knight began writing for album number three, which will now be released via Octane Records! An offer to contribute a track for a Gamma Ray tribute tape from Burning Sun Records in Hungary started the studio proceedings and the track Dethrone Tyranny was released to digital platforms in mid 2019. Several live performances followed including another opening slot with Korpiklaani, a concert in Melbourne with Italian legends Turilli Lione Rhapsody, a return to Indonesia to headline the November Rain Festival and opening for Manowar founding member Ross The Boss!

With all that behind them, Silent Knight are steamrolling headfirst into 2021 and things are set to become even more hectic!
