Perth metalcore group Patient Sixty-Seven have unveiled the hard-hitting video for their new single ‘Where To From Here’.
The track is taken from the bands upcoming and highly anticipated Home Truths EP – set to be released on February 14.
Patient Sixty-Seven enjoyed a busy 2019, with singles What’s Left On Us’ and ‘Help Inflicted’ marking the bands two most successful releases to date – having seen Patient Sixty-Seven continue to refine and hone in on their passionate brand of alternative music.
A year spent writing and recording new material will culminate in the release of Home Truths, with the single and accompanying music video showcasing firsthand the bands newfound intensity.
Where To From Here was also written alongside Sleeping With Sirens frontman Kellin Quinn, who encouraged the group to find their voice – resulting in the bands most emotionally charged effort to date.
Vocalist Tom Kiely spoke about the process behind the new song and what to expect from the EP: “Where To From Here was a song written at the cross roads,” he explains. “Going through the early stages of having a family member deal with a life-altering illness. The song kind of works through those emotions, going back and forth between hope and despair when it feels hard to find a way forward”
“There’s definitely mixed emotions behind the songs on this EP, and we wanted to just be honest with ourselves and see what came of it. There’s frustration, anger and sadness, but also a lot of resilience and conviction. We wanted to inject ourselves into the songs like never before and really find our sound as a band – I think we’ve been able to do that”.
