Boom Crash Opera

Returning to Boom Crash Opera feels like putting on a cosy pair of well-loved shoes again… it’s a natural fit for us all…”  – Dale Ryder

Now that Dale Ryder is back to stay, Boom Crash Opera are very pleased to announce another tour celebrating the bands vast catalogue of songs at a selection of hand-picked venues in NSW, QLD, SA and VIC.

Hot off the back of 3 months of shows on the Red Hot Summer 2020 tour, Crashies fans are in for a treat in June 2020. Two sets for the price of one! In Peter Farnan’s words, “Deep album cuts and long lost faves that want to come out and play again, or great songs you’ve forgotten you’ve forgotten in both electric and acoustic mode…’

35 + years has not wearied this band – Boom Crash Opera have never been in finer form. Fans will attribute to the power, musical chemistry and overall magic that the reinvigorated band are currently exuding.

“WOW! Some 80s bands come back for the dosh……others are like a fine bottle of red wine…just get better with age…that is BCO…Amazing!!!!…. What a joy, energy personified and tight with their ageless tunes and a gun front man in Dale Ryder…’  Ciaron F – FB

“They were Everything and more!!  Haven’t changed still sound amazing great energy…” Naomi Moore – FB

“You guys are AWESOME!! Every bit as good, maybe even better, than in the 80s. Thanks for a great night..” Rob M – FB

“Great Aussie band. They never disappoint…” Sean C – FB

Dale Ryder (Vocals), Peter ‘Maz’ Maslen (Drums/Vocals), Peter Farnan (Guitar/Vocals) and John Favaro (Bass/Vocals) are making plans to delve deep into the annals of the BCO back catalogue, playfully referred to by the band as ‘digging into the crate’ to work up obscurities and deep album cuts for the fans.

Don’t just expect the likes of ‘Onion Skin’, ‘Dancing In the Storm’, ‘Get Out of the House’ and ‘Best Thing’, Boom Crash Opera have five original studio albums to choose from – ‘Boom Crash Opera’ (1987), ‘These Here Are Crazy Times’ (1989), ‘Fabulous Beast’ (1993), ‘Born’ (1995) & ‘Gizmo Mantra’ (1997), as well as their acclaimed acoustic album ‘Dancing In the Storm’ (2009).
