The Jeremy Edge Project

Former Candlelight Red Guitarist Jeremy Edge returns from a hiatus to introduce The Jeremy Edge Project via Deko Entertainment, featuring guest appearances from Brandon Yeagley (Crobot) and Brett Hestla (Dark New Day).

The Project marks a triumphant return for the musician that achieved 4 top 50 Active Rock singles with his previous band. Edge admitted he had to improvise with recordings after personnel changes threatened to interrupt things.

He decided to enlist a few musical chums to assist with instrumentation and lay some vocals down, which included Edge showcasing his own. The Jeremy Edge Project is ten tracks of classic rock, blues, alternative rock and metal mixed with emotive vocals and intrinsic guitar patterns that help bring this LP to come alive. Grammy- Nominated engineer Mike Ferretti helped produce proceedings in Ringwood, NJ.

An intro to Firedancer opens with an example of Edge’s innate ability to work around his fretboard with a blistering instrumental segue into Firedancer with a funky riff and soulful singing. There is a groovy feel with a gracious vocal palette. Next up is the dynamic Hot Lava, an infectious blues tracks with cascading solos and compassionate vocals that will leave those toes getting tired. The theme of this LP is its balance. Edge has put together a composition of songs that seem to fit with timing and tempo.

Breath slows things down with an exotic instrumental that sounds like it came straight from the Middle-East. Edge expresses heart and desire that resonates throughout with the significant acquisitions of talented musicians proving to be a fruitful choice. Holding On is another powerful rocker replete with soaring melodies and an adrenaline- pumping riff that share similarities to a certain Angus Young. Outlive Yesterday is a soulful ballad dripping with an outpouring of emotions.

And finally, Sunrise is a feelgood rock song with an engaging vocal style that is pleasant and cheerful. Edge wraps things up with another blast of chromatic notes, accompanied by the hearty sound of the Hammond organ.

The Jeremy edge project is a welcome introduction for this upcoming guitarist and his talented guests. It is a refreshing alternative with solid song writing .
