The Chats take new single ‘Pub Feed’ on the road

The Chats

“ALL I WANT, AND ALL I NEED, ALL I CRAVE IS A GOOD PUB FEED”.
Admit it, it’s been bloody well stuck in your head for a week.

Sure ‘Smoko’ is sitting at a lazy 6.3 million YouTube streams, but ‘Pub Feed‘s on it’s way to catching up at almost 400,000 eyeballs in just over a week.

Interest in the new tune is warranted. Not only was the world keen to see if The Chats could back up their viral hit Smoko, most people were pretty thrilled to find it’s follow up was a right old ear worm. Channel 7 Sunshine Coast even broadcast the new vid on the nightly news, setting a dangerous precedent for emerging bands, worldwide.

The Chats kids will finish up their shows with Skeggs in April before heading to Our Friend’s Farm to get dusty af at Boogie and then fanging back to Melbourne to open for Iggy Pop at Festival Hall on April 21.

It’s a damn exciting time for three nineteen year olds from the Sunny Coast right now. They are still regularly name-checked by some of your favourite bands, (most recently Parquet Courts tipped their hat to them during a Rage guest program) and constantly finding adoration for their blatant brand of lo-fi Aussie rock in every corner of the globe.

Turns out, none of us can deny the familiar warmth of a ripper rock riff, just like we can’t say no to a handful of hot chips with a smudge of sauce.

You’re gonna have a hard time trying to find a better night out than a crusty chicken shnitty, cold draught beer and live set from The Chats.
