Currently tearing around the country on their (almost) sold out Wild & Weak tour, WAAX are upping the anti with even more live shows announced today.
Propelling themselves into the latter part of 2017, the band play Sounds of the Suburbs in Cronulla before heading out on a mammoth tour with Dune Rats, WAVVES (US) and Hockey Dad in September and October. In between this hefty schedule they are also managing to fit in an extra show in Newcastle and a DJ set in Sydney while they’re on the road.
The reaction from fans and press to WAAX’s Wild & Weak EP has been immense with multiple sold out Melbourne shows and a hometown show at Crowbar selling out three weeks before the start of the tour. The band’s latest single of the same name is enjoying a lengthy renaissance. Peaking at number seven on the AIR radio charts it’s graced the airwaves on every major community radio station in the country and is currently on triple j rotation.
The Wild & Weak tour continues this week with four NSW dates and just under 20 tickets left to the band’s Sydney launch at Brighton Up Bar on Friday. The band bring along Hedge Fund, Kiko Smokes and Maddy Jane for the wild ride this week.
