Eruption

Slovenian Thrashers ERUPTION have just finished recording their third full-length album entitled Cloaks Of Oblivion, due to be released next May 2nd, 2017 via Xtreem Music.

While some Thrash Metal bands tend to sharpen their sound, becoming more aggressive, ERUPTION decided to step out from their traditional Bay Area-influenced sound to a more US Power/Heavy Metal sound in the vein of bands like SANCTUARY, HELSTAR, VICIOUS RUMORS, all the while still retaining their usual FORBIDDEN, VIO-LENCE, DEATH ANGEL worship.

Cloaks Of Oblivion is a modern classic that is graced with a kick-ass production and cover artwork straight outta the 80s, courtesy of Alex Boca.

Vancouver, BC’s WITHOUT MERCY released their latest EP ‘Mouichido’ during May of last year. The EP was a rebirth for the band as it was a re-release of re-recorded material from their 2014 EP ‘Reborn’. ‘Mouichido’ is the Japanese word for “Repeat” or “to do one more time” and is perfectly titled for the EP to signify its re-release of previously recorded versions that now feature new vocalist Alex Friis and bass tracks recorded by Tristan Martin plus live performance being done by Ryan Loewen. Newly added to the EP was also a guest appearance by vocalist Mark Hunter of Chimaira on the track ‘In Waves’, which the band is releasing a new lyric video for and have teamed up with Bravewords.com to exclusively premiere.

Without Mercy guitarist DJ Temple had this to say:
“Working with Mark Hunter and seeing what he could do with one of our tracks was a pretty unreal experience!”

Trilateral

Canada’s TRILATERAL, who are set to drop their first full-length effort Elliptic Orbits, have just released a lyric video for the song “Whalefall”. The track features vocals courtesy of Kittie frontwoman Morgan Lander.

TRILATERAL is a multidimensional progressive metal band with influences as diverse as their music.

A trinity of adept and nonconformist musicians, the band are not easily categorized into one simple genre, but that’s exactly what keeps hungry, forward-thinking metal fans interested in their unique sound. Although they integrate various fundamental elements of multiple genres and styles, TRILATERAL delivers their neural depth without mercy to shatter audiences’ expectations of what modern prog metal is truly capable of.

With their unique blend of brutality and jazz-fusion, the band manages to create a vast soundscape within every track that is not typically associated with metal.
