Sydney’s five-piece metalcore band POLARIS are thrilled to announce the re-release of their 2016 EP The Guilt & The Grief (which debuted at #34 on the ARIA album charts and #2 on the AIR charts) on 10″ vinyl for the first time on March 3 since it’s release 29 January 2016 on their new label home, Resist Records.Pre-order The Guilt & The Grief 10″ Vinyl HERE.
“It’s my great pleasure to welcome Polaris to the Resist family. Polaris have been creating a buzz for some time now and we’re honoured to be working with the band.” says Graham Nixon, Resist Records while Jake Steinhauser (bass/vocals) from Polaris says “We’re absolutely stoked to be working with Resist. They’re one of the best independent labels in this country, they have an amazing history, and they definitely hold a special place for us as one of the first labels we used to dream of working with when we were young and starting a band. Between Resist and Cooking Vinyl we couldn’t ask for a better team behind us.”

The band released the Sophomore EP The Guilt & The Grief independently a year ago.“We’ve had quite a number of messages from fans asking if we would ever put our stuff out on vinyl, and we’d talked about it ourselves for a really long time, so when Graham (Nixon) suggested it we knew it was absolutely something we had to do” explains Jamie Hails  (vocals). Daniel Furnari (drums) adds “A couple of us have been building up our vinyl collections over the past couple of years, so finally having our own music on an actual record is something we’re looking forward to a lot. I know a lot of our listeners feel similarly so it’s great to know that people will be able to own a copy of the record in that format.”

POLARIS, from Sydney’s south built their reputation on the road for the last 2 years as one of the most exciting live acts in the Australian heavy scene with a highly successful 2016. They toured consistently through out 2016 supporting the EP at an ever-increasing scale by selling out most of their own headline tour, supporting acts such as Parkway Drive, Plini and Intervals and capped it off in a sold out East-coast tour with Northlane and Hellions in November.

POLARIS kicked off 2017 with a bang in the form of a chaotic set at the Unify Gathering and begin their tour to support Periphery nationally this week.
The band are currently hard at work on writing their debut album, due to be recorded this year.
