Perth rockers Valdaway return to launch new single ‘Follow’

Building upon the breakthrough of 2015’s debut album Boom Shake Heartbreak, Perth quartet Valdaway return with new single ‘Follow’, a fervent slice of their now trademark hook laden Alt-rock. Teaming up once again with renowned engineer Dave Parkin (Jebediah,
Abbe May), ‘Follow’ showcases the guitar-driven songwriting that defined their debut yet expands upon these foundations with added layers of production finesse.

The story of Valdaway began some ten years ago in a small isolated town in the scenic South West of WA when three brothers and their best mate started jamming in the garage of the family home. Honing their craft and developing their chops throughout virtually all of WA’s best known pubs, an earlier incarnation of the band saw the release of some material, but it wasn’t until 2013 that it felt right to brand the emerging outfit as Valdaway.

With a typically upbeat feel, impassioned frontman Kohen Grogan has penned ‘Follow’ as a positive affair about genuinely being happy and doing what you love. Simple, but universally important and perhaps often forgotten by some who may be plagued by indecision.

As a live band that fires on all cylinders, Valdaway are set to tear up Amplifier Bar April 1st to launch ‘Follow’, also serving as a taste of things to come from one of the most exciting bands in the West.
