The world’s leading independent metal label, Nuclear Blast Records, will celebrate its 30th anniversary at Summer Breeze Open Air, Dinkelsbühl, Germany this year! Due to this special event, the Nuclear Blast Label Night won’t take place on the first day of the festival as usual. Instead of the aforementioned label night, the line-up of the mainstage on Friday, August 18th, will be representing the heavy metal powerhouse. All bands that will be playing at »Blast Bash – 30 Years of Nuclear Blast« on the mainstage on this day, are signed to Nuclear Blast, so fans will get a great overview of some of the label’s varied roster.
The following acts can be seen at the main stage on Friday, August 18th, in celebration of Nuclear Blast‘s 30th anniversary: AMORPHIS, AVERSIONS CROWN, BATTLE BEAST, BETONTOD, CELLAR DARLING, CHILDREN OF BODOM, ELUVEITIE, EPICA, HATEBREED, KREATOR, MEMORIAM, SONATA ARCTICA, and WINTERSUN. The accurate running order will be announced a few weeks beforehand!
The label, founded by Markus Staiger back in 1987, has become the most important and biggest independent metal label over the years. It all began with the release of two hardcore/punk samplers and IMPULSE MANSLAUGHTER‘s debut, and now Nuclear Blast accommodates top-selling bands such as SLAYER, SABATON, NIGHTWISH, MACHINE HEAD, DIMMU BORGIR, BLIND GUARDIAN, EDGUY, and many more. But the label is still taking care of up-and-coming bands; this fact has been cemented by recent signings THE CHARM THE FURY, SPOIL ENGINE, and DOUBLE CRUSH SYNDROME, which can also be seen at Summer Breeze.
