Melbourne garage punk outfit Magic Bones are today thrilled to announce their brand new single ‘Hotter Than The Sun’ taken from their forthcoming debut album due mid 2017. The band will also be touring the east coast throughout April in support of the single.

Listen to ‘Hotter Than The Sun’ here:

The album was recorded by band member Richard Bowers (Horror My Friend, The Harlots) and mixed by award-winning producer Steven Schram (San Cisco, Tiny Little Houses, Paul Kelly). Off the back of a successful Pozible campaign, the band will also release a limited edition 7” for ‘Hotter Than The Sun’ accompanied with a mystery cover song.

Having formed in 2010, Magic Bones have become known for their raw, high-energy shows, and unique sound with a nostalgic twist of 60s garage, 70s rock, and 80s new wave punk spirit.

Magic Bones have received strong online and radio support from stations such as Triple J for their past three successive singles, including ‘Danger I Am’, which spent eight weeks in the Australian Independent Radio Charts (AIR), peaking at number 2 and was also Rage’s Indie Clip Of The Week.

The band have toured Australia extensively in support of their own releases, while also providing main support for established Australian acts such as British India, Stonefield, Bad//Dreems, Harts and Kingswood. In June 2016, Magic Bones were main support for legendary 70’s punk rock band Radio Birdman in Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide.

After experiencing single success and racking up some impressive main supports, Magic Bones are gearing up for what promises to be their most exciting year yet.
