Flynn Effect announce new album preview show

Brisbane’s Flynn Effect are ready to unleash their second full length record, and they want you to be the first to hear it.

In the two years since their inception, Flynn Effect have established themselves within their scene as a force to be reckoned with. Stitching together styles that span decades of music, a diverse fabric of highs and lows, tempo changes, and hooks built upon sweeping western and eastern melodies, the band deliver a unique sound, and an even more unique live experience.

Blending a thunderous rhythm section with a wall of guitar, blistering synths, a powerhouse vocalist and a spectacular live show, the band are capable of reaching an almost impossible velocity.

2016 saw release of the first single from Flynn Effect’s upcoming second album, All for love, to great reception. The year continued with performances supporting Italian fathers of Gothic rock, Lacuna Coil, and local heavyweights Osaka Punch and Darkc3ll.

On the 3rd of February, fans will be treated to a full preview of Flynn Effect’s upcoming second record, with the band performing the album in its entirety for the first time, ahead of its release in April.

Supported by some of the most talked about up and coming acts in Australia, including Melbourne’s own Enlight, local favorites The Stranger, and debutantes Venn.

I’m sure I shouldn’t be having as much fun with this as I am. Sweaty, muscly, nerdy and twee but finally impossible to say no to.  Chris Cobcroft – 4ZZZ

“Picking up where ‘Skin’ left off, ‘All For Love’ comes equipped with super-sized hooks and musical nuance alike; switching from one end of the rock spectrum to the other in a heartbeat. ‘All For Love’ shows the boundless potential that Flynn Effect wield – taking the band to the next level, as they prepare to release a sophomore album even more ambitious than its predecessor.  Bent Metal Media

This Brisbane female-fronted rock to metal four-piece create a sound that is heavy, a little Gothic at times and highly accessible, having been influenced by the likes of Lacuna Coil and HIM. They released a highly impressive debut album in 2014, and have some new music coming soon, including a single to be released on September 30th called All For Love.
