2026 is already shaping up to be a huge year for emerging Indie-Country artist Harry Foxton. Foxton has just released his new single ‘Stranger’ – which will be closely followed by his highly anticipated new long player Fear In Forgiveness, out on April 10.

Foxton will be celebrating the milestone with an album launch show in his hometown of Fremantle on Friday, May 1 at MOJOS Bar. Tickets will be on sale in next month. It seems fitting for Foxton to be releasing ‘Stranger’ off the back of the MOJOS announce – with the song becoming a firm favourite in his highly acclaimed live set over recent months.

Produced by award-winning producer Dylan Ollivierre (Holy Holy, Meg Mac), ‘Stranger’ received its world premiere via triple j’s Country Club radio show last night. Host ‘’Outback Tom’’ Forrest pressed play on the track proclaiming ‘’Harry Foxton is on the rise and ‘Stranger’ has a feel-good sunny energy with those strong country sounds’’

This barnstorming anthem showcases Foxton at his best and most charismatic – infusing electric licks, raw vocals and melodic guitars – coupled with the honest narrative song writing we’ve come to love.

Foxton explains the song further in his own words: ”Stranger is a tale about feeling disconnected from your better self. Losing your identity through the influence of others and forced to become a stranger. It’s about feeling lost and out of sync with your inner compass – a feeling that was initially foreign to me at that time. Sonically, I wanted this track to be upbeat to capture the urgency of what I was feeling at that moment. I think it’s reflective in the song.”

Foxton’s 2025 singles have earned strong early praise from the likes of ABC Country’s Kath Devaney – naming him ‘’One of Australia’s most exciting new talents’’.

Double J’s Henry Wagons gushed about Foxton on his Tower of Song show: ‘’Inspired by the likes of Zach Bryan, City and Colour and Springsteen no less. This is a recipe for success.’’

Countrytown said: ’’Harry Foxton brings arena-ready energy to his country-rock-inspired new song, Backseat. Foxton’s vocal and storytelling are effortlessly engaging.’’

The AU Review made Foxton’s previous single ‘Seen The Dark’ their Track Of The Week and wrote, ‘’Almost Springsteeneque in lyricism & musically reminiscent of recent War on Drugs. Luckily for us, it’s just the start.”

‘Stranger’ is out now and will feature on Foxton’s anticipated forthcoming album Fear In Forgiveness – landing April 10.
