VICTOR WOOTEN & THE WOOTEN BROTHERS Are Back! Grammy Winning Funk Royalty Set To Tour Australia & NZ In 2026

With ten Grammy Awards between them, Victor Wooten & The Wooten Brothers are known as some of the most innovative musicians on the planet. Sharing the stage with Curtis Mayfield before they could even drive, this band of brothers has been redefining music for over five decades. Victor Wooten & The Wooten Brothers are once again hitting the road together, and in February 2026, they’re bringing their electrifying, genre-bending live show to Australia and New Zealand.

The Australian run kicks off in Canberra on February 4, 2026, and includes shows in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Fremantle, Adelaide, and more, before wrapping with a special one-night-only performance in Auckland, New Zealand on February 20. Australian audiences will also be treated to rising artist Jaron Jay as support on all national dates.

A true family band, their collective resume includes Grammy Awards, and performances with everyone from WAR and The Temptations to the Steve Miller Band. The Wooten Brothers consists of Regi (guitar/vocals), Roy (drums/vocals), Joseph (keyboard/vocals) and Victor (bass/vocals), and each member brings an astonishing legacy of their own.

Victor Wooten, widely regarded as one of the greatest bass players of all time, is a five-time Grammy winner, a founding Bela Fleck and the Flecktones member, author, and the mind behind Wooten Woods – his own music/nature retreat outside Nashville.

Roy “Futureman” Wooten is a rhythmic wizard and inventor, known for his mind-bending percussion on both traditional drums and his self-made “Drumitar.” Also, a founding Flecktone, filmmaker, philosopher and educator, Roy’s work transcends genre.

Joseph Wooten, aka “The Hands of Soul”, is a long-time member of the Steve Miller Band, a Grammy nominated songwriter, and passionate motivational speaker. A true all-rounder with a voice and presence that moves audiences.

Regi Wooten, the eldest and the original teacher of his younger siblings, is a genre-hopping guitar genius with a style compared to Hendrix and Zappa. His unconventional chording, slapping and tapping are the stuff of legends.

Together, the brothers bring decades of soul, funk, jazz, R&B, rock and sheer musical telepathy to every note they play. Their beloved brother Rudy Wooten – whose unmatched saxophone skills helped define their early sound – remains a lasting inspiration. Since childhood, Rudy amazed audiences by playing two saxophones at once, imitating lines from popular horn bands such as Earth Wind and Fire, Chicago and Tower of Power.

This reunion tour also coincides with a wave of new and rediscovered material, freshly recorded songs, as well as unreleased Wooten Brothers tracks from the 1970s and ’80s featuring Rudy’s iconic horn work. This is a rare chance to witness history in motion, live on stage, and a show not to be missed.  Tickets are on sale now and available at https://gerrardallmanevents.com.au/.
