‘Somewhere Too High’ is the fifth single taken from the forthcoming second album by We Are The Kill Sounds.
The duo’s second effort sees them shift from the full band format and lean more towards programmed beats, primal bass grooves & keyboards for the majority of this recording. The result is a raw and melodic collection that reveals new layers with every listen.
‘Somewhere Too High’ was written by Sean & Andy Strachan of The Living End. Andy also performed drums on this track, while Sean and Alisha handled all additional instruments and vocals. The album was recorded at Sean & Alisha’s Suffolk Park studio, ‘Black Garage Records’, located in NSW’s Byron Shire.
Production duties were shared between Sean and two-time ARIA award-winning producer Magoo. The track was mixed by Magoo at The Lodge and mastered by Mikey Young of ‘Eddy Current Suppression Ring’ at Squires Loft.
