BRAVO INFERNO Double Down With ‘ROUND IN CIRCLES’ And ‘SLOW POKE’

Perth indie-rockers Bravo Inferno celebrate two new singles with a family-friendly afternoon of live music at The Bird.

Boorloo/Perth indie-rockers Bravo Inferno are doubling down on the new music with the release of two very different singles — ‘Round in Circles’ and ‘Slow Poke’ — and they’re celebrating with a special family-friendly afternoon gig at The Bird in Northbridge on Friday 15 August.

Released on 31 July, ‘Round in Circles’ is a driving, guitar-heavy indie-rock song about the daily grind and the nagging feeling that there must be more to life than simply going through the motions. With its energetic guitars and infectious melodies, the track explores the desire to break the cycle, find a sense of purpose and take a different path.

Then comes ‘Slow Poke’, an indie-blues-rock number with a little more swagger and a sly edge. The song is about that familiar feeling of being manipulated by someone — and the subtle ways you can push back without necessarily picking a fight. Gritty guitars, a bluesy groove and a passionate vocal delivery give the track its own distinctive attitude.

Together, the two singles showcase the breadth of Bravo Inferno’s guitar-driven sound.

The band will celebrate both releases with a special family-friendly afternoon at The Bird in Northbridge on Friday 15 August, playing from 3pm to 6pm. Joining Bravo Inferno will be Los Removalists and Crystal Maxwell for an afternoon of live local music, loud guitars and good times.

Bravo Inferno are a dynamic 5-piece indie-rock ensemble hailing from the suburbs of Perth. Masters of heart-on-your-sleeve guitar-based indie-rock, the band rekindled their musical flame in 2021, emerging from a decade-long hiatus to hit the local Perth scene once more.

In their sonic arsenal, Bravo Inferno draw inspiration from a diverse palette that includes North American alt-rock, British Indie-Pop, and the timeless allure of Aussie guitar rock. The result is an electrifying live experience that showcases their infectious and impassioned music.

Formed in a bygone era when MySpace was still a thing, Bravo Inferno are Craig, Eamonn, Lee, Ryan, and Wayne. They initially made waves with their 2008 EP, ‘This Balloon’, and a compelling full-length album, ‘Chasing Knives’, in 2010 — both of which you can discover on all major streaming platforms.

The band’s journey took an unexpected turn in 2011 when they decided to part ways for “reasons”. However, after a ten-year hiatus, the rhythmic heartbeat of the group, drummer Wayne, felt the irresistible pull of music once more. Wayne’s determination became the catalyst for Bravo Inferno’s reunion, and since June 2021, the band has been back in action, gracing stages with a burst of creativity and a slew of new songs.

The latest incarnation of Bravo Inferno has been highlighted by the successful launch of their single ‘Million’ at Lyrics Underground in January 2023 with 46 Brigade and Yo Yo Sun, a packed arvo launch gig at The Bird in May 2024 for their single ‘Ladder’ with The City Views and Stacey Ann, as well as a slot at RTRFM’s 2024 Fremantle Winter Music Festival on the stage at Mojo’s alongside some of Boorloo’s best indie-rock acts.

Carving their path in the indie-rock landscape, Bravo Inferno have continued to grow their catalogue of songs over the past few years — ‘Mountain’, ‘Million’, ‘Again’, ‘Bright Burning Light’, ‘Ladder’, ‘Scratch’, ‘Rabbit Hole’ and now ‘Round in Circles’ as well as ‘Slow Poke’. With more music on the way, Bravo Inferno continue to share their stories of life, love, loss, daily struggles and the bonds that bring us together.
