ROCK IS NOT DEAD : THE AWAKENING festival at The Brightside in Brisbane August 30 will be a night to be remembered. Not only will it showcase some of this country’s finest original and independent rock bands. It also sees a couple of tribute projects playing on the night. Whiskey On The Rox is one of them and this is their second ROCK IS NOT DEAD appearance with the first being at the inaugural event in February of this year.
This is the second ROCK IS NOT DEAD FESTIVAL and the feedback from the first one was incredible and showcased so many amazing local, independent Queensland bands. With this second instalment we see three bands from the south of the country make the trek up to be what is becoming one of the most talked about festivals in the country.
Andrew Slaidins sat down with guitarist Brandii Rhoads to check in and find out everything you need to know about Whiskey On The Rox and what has been happening since February. Whiskey On The Rox are such a fun band, faithful to the 80’s era of hard rock they deliver a show full of fun, big hair, era perfect outfits and faithful reproductions of the biggest hard rock song of the 80’s. Whiskey On The Rox are set to be one of the must see artists (they all are) at ROCK IS NOT DEAD : THE AWAKENING. This is a band that I am so excited to see again. A new set and a new bass player will see the fun turned up to eleven. Whiskey On The Rox are nothing but a good time, one you need to experience for your self.
