INTERVIEW: ROCK IS NOT DEAD FESTIVAL SERIES – KALATONE – Tim Pitchford

ROCK IS NOT DEAD : THE AWAKENING festival at The Brightside in Brisbane August 30 will be a night to be remembered. Not only will it showcase some of this countries finest original and independent rock bands. Kalatone are a relatively new band and are one of the bands on the second ROCK IS NOT DEAD festival that come with a huge amount of interest. Their fan base is growing quickly as their music and live shows capture peoples attention.

This is the second ROCK IS NOT DEAD FESTIVAL and the feedback from the first one was incredible and showcased so many amazing local, independent Queensland bands. With this second instalment we see three bands from the south of the country make the trek up to be what is becoming one of the most talked about festivals in the country.

Andrew Slaidins sat down with Kalatone frontman Tim Pitchford to check in and find out everything you need to know about the band. Kalatone have just signed with MR Records indwell have physical copies of their debut EP available for the August 30 show. But in the meantime it’s available on streaming services, so please go check it out. Tim would love to hear everyone singing back to him at the show.
