Dead City Ruins are one of those bands you need to experience live. Their presence on stage is nothing short of electrifying. While the bands 10th Anniversary Tour didn’t quite make it to Queensland, the band’s long overdue return is happening this month as they are co-headlining the ROCK IS NOT DEAD : THE AWAKENING festival at The Brightside in Brisbane August 30.
This is the second ROCK IS NOT DEAD FESTIVAL and the feedback from the first one was incredible and showcased so many amazing local, independent Queensland bands. With this second instalment we see three bands from the south of the country make the trek up to be what is becoming one of the most talked about festivals in the country.
We sat down with frontman Steve Welsh to check in and see what’s new in the world of Dead City Ruins, talk Rock Is Not Dead and what is ahead for the band.
