In 2003 Electric Mary was born and took Melbourne by storm with their unapologetic brand of rock n roll. Live they are dynamic, powerful and take no prisoners; anyone that has seen them live will testify to this. This was during a time where bands chose to stare at their shoes, Electric Mary were different they would grab an audience by the throat and refuse to let go, they brought back swagger, attitude and always came out all guns blazing. Nothing has changed in those twenty-two years; it’s still the formula they live by live; but as they say all good things come to an end and on December 13 at The Croxton Bandroom Electric Mary will play their last show ever. It’s the end of an era.

Andrew Slaidins sat down with frontman Russell ‘Rusty’ Brown and reflected on the last twenty-two years and then some. They dive into the history of the band from formation up until the last run of shows in Europe that have led up to the hometown farewell. From the casual to die-hard fan there is something in here for everyone. Rusty also reveals some exciting news for fans in the interview as they will do something the band has never done before prior to the final show. We could tell you here but that would take the fun out of this insightful chat.

This show will sell out and if you want make sure you are a part of rock n roll history do not hesitate to get your tickets here and stay in touch with Electric Mary via their socials.

A huge thank you to Rusty for his time. Remember …….. it’s rock n roll the way it used to taste.
