Suzi Quatro and KT Tunstall’s Exciting Collaborative Album ‘Face To Face’ out now

Two generations of rock icons join forces on ‘Face To Face’, the exciting creative collaboration between KT Tunstall and Suzi Quatro. An album of original duets written by the pair, the tracks cover themes of love and loss, fear and triumph — all essential to their experiences as ground-breaking women in rock.

‘Face To Face’ sets a triumphant tone while offering Quatro and Tunstall the opportunity to share the softness behind their powerhouse rock personas. Tracks like “Shine a Light” showcase the dynamic flow the duo created while recording together.

As a follow-up to her 2023 ‘Uncovered’ EP, Quatro brings her ground-breaking rock legacy to the Face to Face project, while Tunstall brings her sensibilities as a Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter.

“I was a fan of KT from the first hit — liked her voice, her song writing and her musicianship,” shares Quatro. “We are indeed cut from the same cloth which is where our artistry met and flourished. A match made in heaven.

“Working with Suzi has been such a beautiful flow state of friendship and creation,” said Tunstall during the writing process. “We work in her home, sitting on the floor, bare feet, and we talk WAY more than we write!”

The natural collaboration between the two artists produced tracks such as the raw bluesy stomper, “Overload,” and the folky, vulnerable and straight-to-the-point “Truth As My Weapon,” which reflects on their experiences as women in music and beyond.

Featuring a theme of friendship, it’s fitting that in an age where many artists collaborate digitally in separate locations, Quatro and Tunstall wrote and recorded the album together in England. Face To Face was produced by L.R. Tuckey (Suzi Quatro’s son) and is available via Sun Records.
