Norwegian rockers TEMPEL announce their debut self-titled full-length, due March 22nd via Jansen Records.

In a first reveal interview with Kerrang!, the quartet are also streaming their first single from Tempel. Listen to ‘Wolves’ HERE. Pre-order the record HERE.

The dark riff-lords were formed by Kvelertak drummer Kjetil Gjermundrød with his brothers Espen and Inge, and childhood friend Andreas Espolin Johnson. TEMPEL combine old-school metal with classic rock and blackened hardcore to create something highly entertaining and utterly irrestistable, with nods to Kylesa, Mastodon, and of course Kvelertak.

The band tell Kerrang! “TEMPEL mixes a wider range of genres and sounds. We are softer yet harder. And maybe a bit more progressive at times… You also get thrash metal and even some doom from TEMPEL“.

Although still only on their debut release, TEMPEL have already toured Germany, Poland, Denmark, Sweden and Finland, an impressive feat for a new group.

Live, drummer Kjetil has stepped aside due to his busy schedule with Kvelertak, handing the drumsticks to young powerhouse Jonas Usterud Rønningen, without lessening the group’s sonic impact one decibel.
