Wildly popular and eccentric emo driven hard rock band Black Veil Bride’s frontman Andy Black (Biersack) just dropped his sophomore solo album called The Ghost of Ohio and immediately went on tour to support his newest work. Despite the tour being under threat while Andy underwent medical emergency appendectomy procedure just a week before it kicked off, the twenty four shows in just over one month starting in LA and finishing in Virginia on May 17th will put pressure on anybody after that. However Andy didn’t seem to be fazed during the show in NYC, which marked the middle of the tour.

Throngs of young ladies screaming in anticipation, like they were waiting for The Beatles show, filled the NYC venue. The dark and gothic stage setup provided a glimpse on overtones of Andy’s newest musical creation, a dark story of a dead young boy who’s spirit lives in his childhood area.

Opening set to the loud screaming of his fans, he sang older songs to begin with – “Ribcage” and” They Don’t Need To Understand”, followed by his lead single from his new album called “Westwood Road” which the  video has amassed nearly two million views on Youtube to date in just two months. The album, which is also accompanied by the graphic comic book novel with the same name, debuted at No. 1 in iTunes Rock Album Chart.

Andy also performed one song from Black Veil Brides repertoire – “Saviour” from their second studio album “Set The World On Fire”. The show was wrapped up by new song “Ghost of Ohio” and fan favorite “We Don’t Have To Dance”.

The show definitely was a success for Mr Black or Biersack, whichever you prefer. His artistic vision, stage character and undisputable talent was on full display.
